Sika MonoTop 910 N is a one-component cement-based, polymer-modified, micro-silica mortar for corrosion protection of reinforcement and bonding layers.

USAGE

  • Protection of anode areas (according to principle 11, method 11.1 according to PN-EN 1504-9)
  • Anti-corrosion coating for reinforcing steel in the concrete repair system
  • The bonding layer between the substrate and the repair material in the concrete repair system

CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES

  • Can be applied by hand or wet spray
  • Easy to prepare, just add water
  • Excellent adhesion to concrete and steel
  • High resistance to water and chloride penetration

PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • Chemical Base: Portland cement, microsilica, polymer powder, selected aggregate and special additives
  • Packing: 25 kg bags
  • Appearance / Color: Gray powder

APP INFORMATION

Mixing ratio:

  • Manual application: ~5.25 l of water (21%) per 25 kg bag
  • Spray application: ~5.0 l of water (20%) per 25 kg bag

Wear

  • As a bonding layer: depending on the roughness of the substrate and the thickness of the applied layer. Approximately ~1.5 - 2.0 kg of dry mortar per 1 m2 per 1 mm layer thickness.
  • As reinforcement anti-corrosion protection: approximately ~2.0 kg of dry mortar per 1 m2 per 1 mm layer thickness.

Layer Thickness :

  • Bonding layer: thickness sufficient to cover the concrete surface with a thin layer that fills irregularities, pores and depressions.
  • Reinforcement corrosion protection: minimum layer thickness 2 mm.

Waiting Time / Overcoating

  • Apply the repair mortar on the fresh, wet bonding layer.
  • Apply the repair mortar on the dried layer of anti-corrosion protection of the reinforcement.
