Sikaflex 591 is a sealant based on silane terminated polymer (STP) technology. Thanks to its excellent resistance to harsh sea conditions, it can be used in a wide range of applications. Sikaflex 591 goes beyond ordinary environmental and safety standards and sets new ecological standards.

Sikaflex 591 complies with the fire spreading requirements (FTP Code Part 5) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

SCOPE OF APPLICATION

Sikaflex®-591 is a universal sealant designed for marine applications. Suitable for flexible, vibration resistant joint seals and various other internal and external seals. Sikaflex®-591 has good adhesion to many substrates commonly used in the marine industry.

Sikaflex®-591 is not suitable for sealing teak and plastics susceptible to stress cracking (e.g. PMMA, PC, etc.)
