SikaGrout 4R is ready-made, self-leveling and shrink-free cement mortar with grain size 0/4mm. In the liquid-plastic phase, it is characterized by small expansion and normal growth strength . The mortar complies with the principles of structural repairs regarding the anchoring of steel reinforcing bars in accordance with PN-EN 1504-6. In addition, it also meets the requirements for a repair mortar class R4 in accordance with PN-EN 1504-3. The material can also be used as fine-grained self-compacting concrete with a strength class of at least 34-45.
Capacity : 25kg
SikaGrout 4R is easy to use, just add water and it is ready to use. Thanks to the fact that we can add the appropriate amount of water ourselves, we can easily regulate its consistency. The minimum layer is 1.5 cm and the maximum is 5 cm. Locally, the layer thickness can be doubled, i.e. it can be up to 10 cm. The mortar is self-flowing, strength development is normal, and the final strength is high. Moreover, it expands by releasing gas while still in the liquid-plastic phase. Once set, SikaGrout 8N is resistant to vibration and impact, and is also waterproof and frost-resistant. The material is non-toxic and non-flammable, the reaction to fire class is A1.
USAGE
SikaGrout-4 R is primarily used as a pourable grout or anchor mortar with a layer thickness/distance from the anchor to the hole walls between 1.5 cm and 5 cm.
Locally, the maximum thickness of the mortar layer may be more than 5 cm, up to 10 cm. It is also possible, after appropriate tests, to grain the material with good quality aggregate (in the amount of 25-35% of the dry component weight, depending on the quality of the aggregate) and use it as fine-grained self-compacting concrete (SCC). The use of additional aggregate does not affect the amount of mixing water.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE APPLICATION
Mixing proportions
Use a maximum of 12% of mixing water (3.0 liters of water per 1 25 kg bag). If necessary, the fluidity of the material can be reduced by reducing the amount of water, but to a level not lower than 11%. In the case of granulation, use only very good quality washed aggregates of 4/8 or 5/8 mm fraction - e.g. those required for high-durability hydrotechnical or bridge concretes. The recommended amount ranges from 25-35% of the weight of the dry ingredient (depending on the density, form and roughness of the grains and the required flow of the finished mixture).
The use of additional aggregate does not affect the amount of mixing water.
Wear
Depending on the surface roughness and layer thickness. Approximately 18 kg of dry mortar per 1 m² per 1 cm of layer thickness.
Efficiency
One 25 kg bag yields an average of 12.5 - 13.5 dm3 of fresh mortar.
Layer thickness
Minimum 1.5 cm / maximum 5 cm (when used as grouting or anchoring mortar).
Locally, the maximum thickness of the mortar layer may be more than 5 cm, up to 10 cm. It is also possible, after appropriate tests, to grain the material with good quality aggregate (25-35% of the dry component weight, depending on the quality of the aggregate).
Setting time
From 5 to 10 hours.
Frost resistance after 24 hours at a maturing temperature of + 5 °C (the mortar must not be exposed to frost during this time).
