Preparation for the preparation of plastic and varnished surfaces

Sika Primer 209 N is a low viscosity, black substance that cures with moisture. It is used for pre-treatment of painted surfaces and plastics to be glued or sealed with Sikaflex products.

Sika Primer 209 N is manufactured according to the ISO 9001 / 14001 system, which guarantees high quality of the material.

APPLICATION

Sika Primer 209 N is used to improve adhesion to the following surfaces: - Plastics: Acrylic (PMMA), Polycarbonate, ABS, etc. - Varnishes: Acrylic, Alkyd/Melamine trials.

Before using the primer on plastic surfaces susceptible to cracking stress, especially acrylics, polycarbonates or ABS, read the manufacturer's instructions.

APPLICATION METHOD

The surfaces of the primed materials must be dry, clean, free of rust, dust and grease. Adhesion to the surface can be enhanced by additional operations such as matting, degreasing, and activating. Shake Sika Primer 209N before use to release the mixing ball and apply a thin but uniform coat with a brush or applicator.

Apply at a temperature between 10°C and 35°C. Sika Primer-209 N should be applied in a single coat. Make sure that a single layer ensures complete coverage of the surface. Close the packaging tightly immediately after use.
