METAL GLAZE OPTEX is the best putty used as a finishing layer for putty, large surfaces, small fillings. Its exceptional adhesion and sanding properties are evident thanks to the patented resin.

DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION

METAL GLAZE OPTEX is the best putty used as a finishing layer, large surfaces, small fillings. Its exceptional adhesion and sanding properties are evident thanks to the patented ECORESIN resin.

METAL GLAZE OPTEX uses color changing technology from lavender to mint green. Its unique low viscosity makes it ideal for mixing with other Metalworks products for improved performance. Contains blue hardener.

SUBSTRATES

Can be used on steel, galvanized steel, galvanized steel, SMC, fiberglass and aluminum, sanded putty, sanded OEM paint, E-Coat, 2K cured sanded primer, rigid or semi-rigid thermosets.

PREPARATION

Before sanding, clean the surface with soap and water, then wipe with thinner.

Sand the surface with P80-P180, or if it is not damaged, sand the varnish with P180-P220.

MIXING

Place the material on a clean surface. Squeeze out the hardener before use.

The mixing factor is 2% by weight (a thin line of hardener from edge to edge through the center of 10 cm of putty). Putty with a diameter larger than 10 cm requires additional hardener. Mix the material to obtain a uniform mass of uniform color.

APP

Spread a thin layer of the mixed material onto the surface, pressing appropriately. Apply additional layers to obtain a suitable surface for sanding. The repair will gradually change color from lavender to mint green, indicating that it is dry and ready for sanding.

NOTE: Do not apply a new layer on an uncured surface. Avoid applying thick layers.

SANDING / FINISHING

Sand with P180 grit abrasive. Finishing sanding with P180-P220 grit, then P180-P320 if necessary. Apply 2K polyester, 2K urethane, 2K epoxy, or 1K primer according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
