Sika Repair 10F - bonding layer

WHAT IS SIKA REPAIR 10F?

Sika Repair 10F is of course one-component mortar type PCC/SPCC based on cement that has been modified with a polymer. The mortar has been improved with the addition of microsilica. The purpose of the mortar is primarily anti-corrosion protection of the reinforcement, creation of a bonding layer .

Capacity : 25kg

Features:

  • Non-toxic material
  • Increased resistance to sulphate corrosion
  • High adhesion to concrete and steel
  • Good strength parameters
  • Can be applied by hand or by spraying
  • Easy to prepare
  • Easy to apply
  • Can be used as a universal bonding layer

What is its use?

Sika Repair 10F mortar is intended for surface repairs of concrete and reinforced concrete structures, which are exposed to atmospheric and water loads. It will work perfectly in mining facilities, communication facilities exposed to increased sulphate aggression, hydrotechnical facilities, sewage treatment plants and sewage systems. In addition, v system repair Sika Repair F 10F mortar can be used as an effective anti-corrosion protection for exposed and cleaned reinforcement during demolition. It is also unrivaled as a bonding layer that connects the concrete substrate with another filling mortar.

How to apply a bonding layer?

Bonding layer Sika Repair 10F should be applied with a brush, brush or appropriate spray equipment. She must stay spread on a surface saturated with water until it is matt and moist . It must be rubbed well into the substrate and moved about 1 cm beyond the defect area. The mortar can be applied using the wet-on-wet method, i.e. on the bonding layer immediately after its application.

How to apply anti-corrosion protection to reinforcement?

Sika Repair 10F belongs apply to cleaned reinforcement . It is undoubtedly best to apply the first layer using a brush or sprayer. After the first layer has dried, i.e. approximately 5 hours after application, the second layer can be applied at a temperature of 20°C. Total thickness of the anti-corrosion coating should be approximately 1 mm.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • Chemical base: Cement, polymer, microsilica, selected aggregate, corrosion inhibitors
  • Packing: 25 kg bags
  • Appearance / Color: Gray powder

INFORMATION ABOUT THE APPLICATION

Mixing proportions:

Sika® Repair-10 F: water - 100: 20 by weight 5 liters of water per 1 25 kg bag. To increase the stickiness and stability of the mortar (e.g. in a vertical, hanging or ceiling position), the amount of water can be reduced to approx. 4.5 liters per 1 25 kg bag.

Wear

  • Anti-corrosion protection of reinforcement: ~1.7 kg/m². Theoretical consumption of dry ingredient for 2 layers of material with a total thickness of 1 mm.
  • Bonding layer: 1.7 – 3.4 kg/m². Average consumption of dry ingredient, depending on the roughness of the substrate.

Layer thickness :

Minimum 1.0 mm / Maximum 2.0 mm

Waiting time / Repainting

  • Anti-corrosion protection of reinforcement: When protecting reinforcement: at least 5 hours between layers, at least 24 hours before applying the bonding layer and repair mortar.
  • Bonding layer: Between the bonding layer and the repair mortar: apply the repair mortar onto the fresh bonding layer using the wet-on-wet method. Do not allow the bonding layer to dry before applying the repair mortar.
