SikaGard 6250 is an odourless, permanent white wax with excellent anti-corrosive properties. It effectively protects the vehicle body profiles, is easy to use and has exceptional performance properties - it is resistant to high temperatures and has the ability to self-heal. After drying, it creates a white, slightly sticky layer of wax that protects the profiles against corrosion.

APPLICATION

SikaGard 6250 is a sprayable anti-corrosion coating for the repair and protection of confined spaces in vehicle components such as interior door panels, wheel arches, fenders, pillars, hatches, bonnets, sills and other bodywork.

Thanks excellent resistant to high temperatures (up to 180°C) , it can also be used for engine compartment maintenance. The product can be sprayed in the form of a mist and does not flow from the drainage holes.

SikaGard 6250 has good adhesion to a variety of paints, metal primers, metals and PVC without the need for pre-treatment.

The product is intended only for experienced and professional users. Testing is recommended for actual conditions and selected surfaces to ensure adhesion and proper material selection.

APPLICATION METHOD

Surface preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, rust and grease. Bare metal must be suitably treated to enhance corrosion protection (e.g. bare steel, etc.).

Overlaying

SikaGard 6250 is applied by airless spray equipment with a working pressure of 3 - 6 bar, e.g. Sika CW Gun (pressure type) or Sika UBC+ Gun (vacuum type). Shake approx. 40 times before use. Cover the elements adjacent to the field to be sprayed. Spray at room temperature, from a distance of approx. 25 cm in the case of flat surfaces or using a flexible hose in the case of profiles, using existing or drilling new access points in the car body. Apply a continuous layer. Do not spray on components of the exhaust and brake systems.

Cleaning

The fresh layer of SikaGard 6250 is removed from tools and equipment with Sika Remover 208 or other suitable agent. After drying, SikaGard 6250 can only be removed mechanically. Hands and exposed skin should be cleaned immediately with Sika Handclean towels or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water. Do not use solvents!

Painting

SikaGard 6250 is not paintable.
