LOCTITE® 598 is a one-part silicone adhesive/sealant that cures at room temperature (RTV), is non-corrosive, has a low odor, low volatilization and cures without shrinkage.

Typical applications

Designed primarily for sealing flanges. It is oil resistant and withstands large displacements in the joint. For example, stamped sheet metal covers (timing cover and oil pan).
